Laguna Elementary School and the Flowing Wells School District is proud to recognize State of Arizona Department of Corrections at Wilmot. Their DCA Inmate Fundraiser program raised $44,531.58 for our school. The Warden, Mr. Christopher Josefowicz, presented the check to Mr. Alan Schmidt, the school principal, Laguna students and staff on April 27, 2022. The fundraiser was made possible by the effort of Ms. Rosa Basurto and her team, in collaboration with staff support from Melanie Hurst, Anthony Lovio, Kristi Gutierrez and Alan Schmidt. Laguna is incredibly grateful and blessed to have the support from Mr. Josefowicz and the State of Arizona Department of Corrections. We look forward to using the donation to provide better opportunities for our students and community.
